Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Technician and Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Valiant Integrated Services. This individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating all technical requirements for PMTEC simulations and other exercise requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate technical requirements for PMTEC simulations and other exercise requirements.
  • Operate simulation systems, including installing, configuring, and updating software as needed.
  • Ensure the integration of hardware, software, programming, and database tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for system design, programming, documentation, and testing.
  • Monitor system performance and take corrective action as needed.
  • Review program documentation and ensure compliance with hardware and software system configuration management policies.
  • Ensure all communications between servers, local and remote sites, and clients are fully operational.
  • Support on-site system testing to ensure interoperability solutions between US, Korean, Japan, and other coalition simulation models.
  • Coordinate the identification, resolution, and correction of hardware and software problems.
  • Provide 24-hour coverage during exercise periods, including working shifts as needed.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of the importance of exceptional customer-contractor relationships.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of how simulations interoperate.
  • Maintain 100% equipment accountability, including hardware, software, and all system accessories.
  • Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
  • Assist in all other Technical Support Branch operations as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge in Information Systems and Information Technology as described and required by the task.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Networking, VMWARE, Red Hat Linux, and Windows.
  • Understand large-scale distributed simulation exercises.
  • Maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
  • Obtain and maintain IAT Level II and the appropriate computing environment certifications IAW DoDM, such as Security+ CE.
