Our programming is anchored in four key areas: Education, Economic Mobility, Health & Wellness, and Community Engagement.

Key Responsibilities: As a Program Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating after-school enrichment initiatives, including programs for children and teens. Working alongside the Resident Services Manager, you will help implement a variety of educational and recreational activities tailored for families within our multifamily communities. This part-time role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week during specified hours on weekdays.

Program Planning and Implementation:

  1. Assist in the design and execution of educational and recreational programs for families.
  2. Supervise after-school activities for both elementary and teenage participants.

Preparation for Activities:

  1. Provide nutritious snacks for participants in the after-school program.
  2. Organize and prepare materials for various activities and workshops.
  3. Support the Teen Program and assist participants with academic tasks.

Behavior Management:

  1. Ensure a positive and disciplined environment.
  2. Implement and adapt behavior management strategies as needed.

Community Space Maintenance:

  1. Prepare and tidy the community room before and after programs.

Additional Duties:

  1. Collaborate on various tasks beyond standard responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience and enthusiasm for working with children and teens.
  3. Background in literacy or tutoring is advantageous.
  4. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  5. Ability to engage with a diverse population.
  6. Self-driven and aligned with our mission.
  7. Collaborative approach with colleagues from varied backgrounds.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working at AHC:

This position is part-time, focusing on after-school programming with a commitment of 20 hours per week during designated hours.
