Key Responsibilities: As a Program Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating after-school enrichment initiatives, including both Afterschool and Teen Programs. Working closely with the Resident Services Manager, you will assist in delivering educational and recreational activities tailored for children, youth, and their families within a multifamily setting. This role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, primarily during weekday afternoons.

Program Planning and Implementation:

  1. Assist in the design and execution of educational and recreational activities for children, youth, and families.
  2. Supervise after-school programming for elementary and teenage participants.

Preparation for Activities:

  1. Provide nutritious snacks for participants in the Afterschool Program.
  2. Organize and prepare materials for various activities and workshops aimed at youth.
  3. Support the Teen Program by assisting youth with their academic work.

Behavior Management:

  1. Ensure a positive and disciplined environment.
  2. Implement and adapt behavior management strategies as needed.

Community Space Maintenance:

  1. Prepare the community room for activities and ensure it is cleaned post-program.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate effectively on tasks beyond regular duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience and enthusiasm for working with children and teenagers.
  3. Background in literacy or tutoring is preferred.
  4. Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  5. Ability to engage with a diverse group of students from various backgrounds.
  6. Self-motivated and aligned with our mission.
  7. Collaborative mindset with colleagues and community members.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working at AHC Inc.:

This position is part-time, specifically focused on after-school programming, requiring 20 hours of work each week.
