Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cross-dock facilities. This position involves liaising with customer personnel to provide essential information and guidance regarding dock operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the scheduling of inbound trailers to the dock.
  • Report materials using the customer's inventory management system.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting materials that cannot be processed through standard procedures.
  • Manage the processing of urgent parts.
  • Respond to field inquiries regarding material flow through the cross-dock.
  • Update and maintain material flow data in the cross-dock database, monitoring supplier and carrier non-conformance, and documenting issues in an Issues Database.
  • Ensure efficient and smooth material flow through the cross-dock.
  • Facilitate timely communication of information between Ryder and customer personnel.
Additional Duties

Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a similar role is required; experience with customer inventory systems is preferred.
Skills
  • Ability to foster professional relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in data analysis and presentation development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices.
Knowledge

Intermediate understanding of cross-dock processes and relevant computer applications for tracking and reporting (e.g., Excel, Word, Ryder YMS).

Travel Requirements

No travel is required for this position.
