As one of the rapidly growing warehousing and logistics firms in North America, we are seeking a seasoned MATERIALS SUPERVISOR.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving processes for trucks and materials, supporting both import and, when necessary, export operations during peak volumes.
- Guide all dock personnel and drivers effectively.
- Collaborate with the operations supervisor to coordinate production and shipping needs, ensuring timely deliveries to customers.
- Administer the cycle count process to guarantee 100% compliance and participate in all inventory audits as required by our clients.
- Monitor performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, morale, and environmental standards.
- Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers as needed.
- Background in materials and logistics.
- Preferred experience in warehousing.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing hourly staff.
- Capability to operate a forklift.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Aptitude for training others on processes and procedures.
- Experience in lean manufacturing is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
