Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration of patients, while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions, while maintaining accurate and complete patient demographic information.
  • Employ proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during and after date of service, ensuring seamless communication with patients and their guarantors.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of medical terminology, insurance cards, and physician orders to accurately interpret and process patient information, while maintaining Conifer Standards of Care.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and a higher level of productivity and accuracy, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required, with 0-1 year of experience in a customer service role and/or administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
  • Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm and demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer.
  • Course in Medical Terminology required, with a strong understanding of compliance standards and third-party payor requirements.
Work Environment

The Patient Access Representative II will work in a fast-paced hospital administration environment, with potential exposure to life-threatening patient conditions. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 lbs, and frequently stand, sit, and walk.
