Position Overview:
We are in search of a knowledgeable and proactive Permanent Tax Manager to join our thriving finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for tax legislation, exceptional numerical skills, and the capability to analyze and strategize around intricate financial matters. This role will encompass all facets of tax oversight, including compliance, provisions, and multi-state income tax submissions. You will be tasked with ensuring the precise preparation and submission of our organization’s state and federal tax documents. A solid background in taxation, finance, and leadership is essential, along with experience managing high net-worth clients, trusts, and estates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and evaluation of property tax returns, multi-state income tax filings, and federal audits.
  • Supervise the preparation of Use Tax, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage the accurate preparation and submission of state and federal tax documents.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the company's financial position and provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding tax policies and strategies.
  • Prepare and submit annual reports outlining the company's financial status, tax obligations, and compliance efforts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate income tax payments.
  • Lead state audits, guaranteeing that all documentation is precise and current.
  • Cultivate relationships with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates, ensuring efficient handling of all tax-related matters.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to senior management and team members.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, ideally within the financial sector.
  • Expertise in Use Tax, multi-state income tax returns, tax compliance, tax provisions, property tax returns, federal audits, and income tax payments.
  • Experience working with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax codes, compliance, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tax preparation software.
