Position Overview
As a pivotal member of our organization, the Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive range of tax-related functions. This role demands a proactive approach to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Preparation and meticulous review of complex business and individual income tax returns.
  • Strategic tax planning, including guidance on estimated tax obligations to enhance client outcomes.
  • Management of annual reports, franchise returns, and various state business tax filings.
  • Advocacy for clients in resolving tax issues, including responses to federal and state inquiries.
  • Collaboration on accounting projects, ensuring financial data is accurate and ready for tax preparation.
  • Development and maintenance of strong client relationships.
  • Mentorship and technical training for junior and senior staff members.
  • Active participation in management discussions, contributing ideas to support the long-term strategic vision.
  • Engagement in business development initiatives and promotion of the firm.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and codes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in conducting technical reviews of tax returns.
  • Strong focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to foster constructive business relationships.

Work Environment
