Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and review of complex business and individual income tax returns.
  • Strategic tax planning and advising clients to enhance their financial outcomes.
  • Filing of annual reports, franchise returns, and various state business tax returns.

  • Assisting with accounting projects, including financial data preparation for tax filings.

  • Engaging in business development activities to promote the firm.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Active CPA or EA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax codes and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in conducting technical reviews of tax returns.
  • Ability to implement process improvements effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to foster constructive business relationships.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with standard working hours. The role may require additional hours during peak periods. The position is based in an office environment.
