Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax management functions. The successful candidate will possess a strong passion for tax regulations, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to analyze complex financial situations critically. This role entails managing all facets of tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of state and federal tax returns. A solid background in tax, finance, and management is essential, along with experience in dealing with high net-worth clients, trusts, and estates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and review of property tax returns, multi-state income tax returns, and federal audits.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of Use Tax, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of state and federal tax forms.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the company's financial status and provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding tax policies.
  • Prepare and submit annual financial reports detailing tax liabilities and compliance measures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate income tax payments.
  • Supervise state audits, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Cultivate relationships with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates, ensuring efficient handling of all tax-related matters.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to senior management and team members.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in the finance sector.
  • Expertise in Use Tax, multi-state income tax returns, tax compliance, tax provision, property tax returns, and federal/state audits.
  • Experience working with high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Strong knowledge of tax codes, compliance, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tax preparation software.
