Job Title: Employment Support Specialist

Job Summary:
AHRC NYC is seeking a highly motivated and organized Employment Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with funding sources, fellow providers, schools, training sites, employers, participants, and their families. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with families, employers, funding sources, and Care Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments and guide job seekers through the enrollment process
Maintain ongoing relationships with job seekers to support their employment journey
Coordinate pre-employment activities and instruct employment skills (in collaboration with team members)
Liaise with service providers and connect with family members to ensure comprehensive support
Write detailed reports on case progress and outcomes
Facilitate meetings and case conferences to discuss individual needs and strategies
Organize outreach events to promote services and recruit new enrollees

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Master's degree desirable
Two years of working with the developmentally disabled population preferred
Teaching or training experience, including instructing or mentoring program participants
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with families, employers, funding sources, and Care Coordinators
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
