Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team as a Criminal Justice Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
Job Summary:CASES is a leading provider of community-based services for individuals with mental health needs. As a Criminal Justice Specialist, you will be part of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, working closely with clients, families, and community stakeholders to provide comprehensive support and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct outreach and engagement services to build relationships with clients in the community.
- Provide psychoeducation and support to clients to promote their mental health and well-being.
- Serve as a liaison and advocate for clients within the criminal justice system, including providing court updates and coordinating care during incarceration.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support and services.
- LMHC, MHC-LP, LMSW, LCSW, with current New York State license.
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Experience with various evidence-based models pertaining to treatment of substance use, and mental illness.
- A team player, highly organized and self-motivated.
- Experience working with individuals involved in the criminal legal system.
- Fluency in Spanish.
