Employment Specialist, Workforce Development Professional

CAMBA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Specialist to join our Workforce Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers, identifying job opportunities, and providing employment services to clients. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a competitive salary of $55,000 annually and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a database of employer contact information and job openings.
- Research and initiate contact with potential employers to market CAMBA's job placement services.
- Match clients with job openings based on their qualifications and skills.
- Provide employment services to clients, including resume development, interview preparation, and job placement.
- Collaborate with community partners and outside agencies to expand opportunities for education, outreach, and programming.
- Plan and execute hiring events and maintain records of client flow and employee selection.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) and one (1) year of experience in sales or recruiting.
- Experience in job development or employment services in a social service setting preferred.
- Bilingual preferred in Spanish or Creole.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to network with employers and community partners to generate outcomes for clients.
- Client-focused, culturally competent, empathetic, and flexible to the needs of clients and job seekers.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation skills and a commitment to upholding confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability and dedication to work with refugees, asylees, immigrants, young adults, and low-income populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Work (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
