Your role in this position:

The Healthcare Patient Liaison is responsible for providing continuous and comprehensive care to both surgical and non-surgical patients. This role involves educating patients and their families on pre-operative and post-operative care, as well as the treatments provided within the practice. Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures, coordinating pre-admission testing, and acting as a liaison between patients and practice support staff. The liaison monitors patients' treatment progress and communicates essential information to physicians to facilitate referrals and orders for medications and diagnostic tests. A caring and professional demeanor is expected at all times, alongside a commitment to personal and professional development.

+ Manage phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and triage inquiries. Ensure timely return of calls.+ Prioritize tasks effectively, maintain a steady workflow, and follow through until completion. Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills based on established protocols.+ Clearly explain procedures, treatments, and nursing care to patients and their families.+ Review patient charts to confirm that all test results and correspondence are available prior to physician consultations. Secure necessary authorizations from patients' insurance providers.+ Review appointment schedules and prioritize patients in urgent situations.

Ensure a smooth patient flow.
Qualifications and experience required for success:

Minimum qualifications:+ High School Diploma or Equivalent+ No prior experience required

  • Basic Life Support Certification
    Preferred qualifications:
+ Over one year of experience in a front desk medical office setting+ Over one year of experience in healthcare customer service.
