We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager who will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our organization. This role is crucial for ensuring that our workforce is compensated accurately and punctually. The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations, ensuring the precise and timely disbursement of payroll and tax obligations. Collaborating with various departments and leading our dedicated payroll team will be essential components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee regional payroll alignment and integration, ensuring compliance with local payroll practices across multiple states.
  • Lead the payroll team in executing weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes, aligning with the objectives set by senior management.
  • Interpret and manage payroll policies and calculations to uphold accuracy and compliance.
  • Review, design, and document payroll processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll functions.
  • Act as a liaison between Payroll and Finance departments.
  • Manage relationships with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to support financial audits and compliance reviews.
  • Analyze payroll reports for accuracy and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Stay informed on payroll liabilities, including federal and state income taxes and other employer obligations.
  • Provide payroll-related information and support to employees as needed.
  • Enhance professional knowledge through workshops and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to team goals by achieving related outcomes.
  • Manage special payroll projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations in multiple states.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now system is required.
  • Prior experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
  • Proven supervisory and management experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and database management.
