About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Strategy and Growth organization, you will be responsible for leading our business development efforts and driving growth in the Nuclear Command and Control and Communication (NC3) market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy and plan for the NC3 program, with a focus on growing our relationship and business pipeline.
  • Identify new NC3 markets and work closely with the business to develop and shape the requirements and opportunities to maximize profitability.
  • Interact comfortably and effectively with senior strategic customers, decision makers, third party partners, and officers within Northrop Grumman.
  • Collaboratively execute the program's strategic growth plan and manage program priorities and pipeline coordination.
  • Assess opportunities available within and beyond existing markets, offerings, and business models.
  • Scan the environment for business opportunities and maintain surveillance over market trends.
  • Understand, shape, and monitor profitability, productivity, and growth targets.
  • Prepare acquisition proposals and recommend financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives.
  • Leverage data to develop clear and measurable Business Development activities in support of Program and Division objectives.
  • Drive use of business tools for opportunity management and customer resource management.
  • Ensure that business development activities are carried out in accordance with Government, customer, and Northrop Grumman policies, procedures, and processes.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, sciences or related field and 10 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in business, engineering, sciences or related field and 8 years of related experience, or a PhD and 6 years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in C4, weapons and/or logistics business, or other areas across military and government domains.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top-Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a special access program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business.
  • Experience in systems/services contracting with U.S. DoD programs and customers.
  • Proven relationships and credibility in the federal contracting industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience – either leading direct reports, campaign teams, or integrated product teams.
  • Ability to work on-site at program location in Melbourne, Florida or another NG location (up to 50% of the time).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 50% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of NC3 Experience working within the Department of Defense, Military branches, or civilian government roles.
  • Program management and/or operational experience.
  • Business Development or program management/execution experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Impeccable leadership and communication skills.
  • Trained in BD and/or Capture processes.
