Salary Range:
The compensation for this role is set between $78,900 and $95,000. The University of California salary scales establish the minimum remuneration based on rank and/or step at the time of appointment. This position may also include participation in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which allows for the possibility of additional earnings.

The program at UC Irvine offers a comprehensive clinical opportunity aimed at cultivating advanced knowledge, skills, clinical judgment, and professional attitudes vital for the practice of aesthetic plastic surgery. The Bruce Connell Aesthetic Fellowship is a year-long initiative established through a generous endowment by Dr. Bruce Connell. Dr. Connell's vision was to create a fellowship that encompasses the full spectrum of aesthetic plastic surgery, focusing on developing competencies in pre-operative planning, independently managing complex cases, and delivering thorough postoperative care. This distinctive opportunity enables fellows to receive mentorship from previous fellows of Dr. Bruce Connell and other distinguished faculty members. Additionally, the fellow will gain insights into practice management and the business aspects of aesthetic surgery. The clinical training will be complemented by weekly educational sessions, including Grand Rounds, invited Visiting Professor lectures, didactic classes, anatomy workshops, journal clubs, research discussions, and quality improvement meetings. Offsite rotations are also included.
Requirements: An M.D. and American Board of Plastic Surgery board certification or eligibility are mandatory. A California Medical License must be obtained prior to the fellowship start date. Eligibility for a Texas medical license is also required before commencing the fellowship. Academic rank and salary will be determined based on training, qualifications, and experience. A strong commitment to providing patient care in an academic clinical environment, teaching medical students, and contributing to the university is essential. Compensation will be aligned with qualifications and experience.
