The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a one-year fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery. This unique opportunity is designed to provide advanced training in the breadth of aesthetic plastic surgery, with a focus on developing skills in pre-operative planning, high-complexity case management, and comprehensive postoperative care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a structured clinical experience to develop advanced knowledge and skills in aesthetic plastic surgery
- Develop skills in pre-operative planning, independently performing high-complexity cases, and providing comprehensive postoperative care
- Gain experience in practice management and the business of aesthetic surgery
- Participate in weekly educational conferences, including Grand Rounds, invited Visiting Professor presentations, didactic sessions, anatomy labs, journal clubs, research clubs, and quality improvement conferences
- Rotate through offsite locations in San Francisco and Texas
- MD degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery Residency
- American Board of Plastic Surgery eligibility
- Eligibility for a California Medical License and obtain CA license prior to start of fellowship
- Eligibility for a Texas Medical License
- Strong interest and demonstrated abilities in delivering patient care in an academic clinical setting
- Teaching medical students and providing service to the university
