Job Summary

The Banquet Cook at Hotel Du Pont is responsible for the flawless preparation and presentation of menus created by the Executive Chef, ensuring an unparalleled dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food consistent with recipe cards, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Start food items ahead of time, ensuring optimal freshness and minimizing waste.
  • Return unused food items to designated storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of experience as a prep line/cook preferred.
  • Ability to think critically and adapt to high-pressure situations.
  • Physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate slippery floors.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
