Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at TRC Talent Solutions. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing HR policies and procedures, employee benefits administration, and HR-related tasks on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and documents compliance for training, continuing education, and work assessments
  • Recruits and facilitates the hiring of job applicants for open positions
  • Conducts background checks and other verifications
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to benefits, leave, recognition and morale, and training and development
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with learning the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of HR experience required
  • Experience in a not-for-profit is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, BA, or related field required
  • Employee Benefits expertise, including benefits administration
