Role Overview

The Operations Supervisor plays a vital role within Heartland's operational framework. The ideal candidate will be situated in Florida, preferably in the Vero Beach or Indian River County area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support and management of the company's wastewater treatment systems, collaborating closely with engineers responsible for system design, construction, and deployment.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of all mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs, adjustments, and calibrations on mechanical and electrical systems associated with Heartland's equipment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
  • Assist in factory testing of equipment and training customer personnel.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical components, including periodic deep cleaning.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate operational insights into future designs.
  • Perform safety inspections on all major equipment.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, preferably with experience in industrial process equipment; familiarity with wastewater systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of electrical circuits (480V, 120V, and lower) and the ability to complete Heartland's training program to become a qualified electrical worker.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls is preferred, particularly with Allen Bradley PLC and Ignition HMI software.
  • A robust work ethic, self-motivated, and adept at problem-solving.
  • High safety awareness; formal safety training is a plus.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in physically demanding and outdoor environments year-round.
  • Willingness to be on call on a rotating basis.
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the United States are required.
