Pharmacist - Clinical and Distributive Functions

Job Summary
Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of clinical and distributive functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, resolve, and/or prevent potential and/or actual drug-related problems
- Assume a proactive role as a healthcare team member, striving to improve patient care
- Collaborate with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other health professionals to ensure effective communication and patient care
- Recognize and report practice deviations to improve the medication system
- Excel in Microsoft Office suites, including Word and Excel
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.)
- Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital preferred
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency preferred
- Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served
