Position Overview

The Clinical Pharmacist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, undertaking a range of clinical and distribution responsibilities. This position is dedicated to identifying, addressing, and preventing any potential or existing medication-related issues.

Educational Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited pharmacy institution, holding either a Bachelor of Science degree or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).

Experience Requirements

  • Prior experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy residency is also preferred.

Licensure and Certification

  • A valid Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure through examination or reciprocity is required.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to identify and report deviations in practice to enhance the medication management system.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care tailored to the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related needs of patients across various age groups. This expertise may be acquired through education, training, or relevant experience.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $84.08.
