Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume a variety of clinical and distributive functions, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to identify, resolve, and prevent potential and actual drug-related problems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on medication management, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and minimizing medication errors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve medication use and safety, working closely with our pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with our nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.)
  • Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting, with a strong background in clinical and distributive functions.
  • Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy residency program, preferred.
  • Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
