Position Overview:

The Senior Operations Planning and Control Manager operates under general administrative guidance and is accountable for the scheduling and execution of the company’s outsourced production network. This role encompasses planning and facilitating the flow of information for manufacturing operations at Contract Manufacturers (CM) and Re-pack Facilities. The incumbent will oversee both short-term and long-term production planning processes to align with Patco Brands' sales demands, cost management, and budgetary controls, ensuring an efficient transfer of raw and finished materials to and from CMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a cohesive production strategy based on inputs from demand forecasting, procurement, and Contract Manufacturers to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Guarantee that all production data is accurately and promptly recorded in the system.
  • Serve as an expert on Bill of Materials (BOM) configurations and all associated production processes and documentation.
  • Ensure that the flow of materials for production and finished goods adheres to lean management principles.
  • Facilitate the transfer of raw materials to CMs to support production timelines.
  • Create and maintain CM performance scorecards, collaborating with CM Net Operations on monthly performance reviews and enhancements.
  • Ensure production execution aligns with or surpasses cost expectations.
  • Oversee the reporting of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as the primary liaison for:
    • Production accruals versus actuals
    • Maintaining accurate and compliant production records
    • Ensuring data integrity in production
    • Accuracy and compliance of tolling fees
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain a well-staffed team; conduct interviews, training, development, coaching, performance evaluations, and address disciplinary matters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, Natural Sciences, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
  • Four years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, or Procurement within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food/Beverage context, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and professional capability.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution combined with eight years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Account Management, and Procurement in a CPG/Food/Beverage environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in production schedules and work various hours, including additional shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
  • Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies throughout CM facilities, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Exhibit punctuality, reliable attendance, and a proactive approach to managing time and resources.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor towards all staff, vendors, partners, clients, and visitors.
