Position Overview


Management Analysts are responsible for conducting a range of studies, research, and evaluations in management and administrative sectors, including financial analysis, departmental operations, legislative review, management research, and statistical analysis.


The Governor's Finance Office, Budget Division, is seeking to fill two Senior Management Analyst positions. These roles will be integral to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) team, collaborating closely with state agency personnel to ensure effective utilization of ARPA funds and compliance with all relevant contracts and requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation, oversight, and management of ARPA budgets.
  2. Review and update work programs as necessary.
  3. Monitor and project fund usage to ensure compliance with federal reporting standards.
  4. Investigate and resolve accounts payable issues in collaboration with state agencies and vendors.
  5. Facilitate meetings and maintain effective communication channels.
  6. Authorize Purchasing Division invoices and process payment vouchers.
  7. Conduct quarterly compliance reviews post-award.
  8. Compile and prepare detailed reports.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

This position is funded through a grant and may conclude upon the grant's completion. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with potential overtime as required throughout the year.

Qualifications


To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics, or a related field, along with two years of professional experience in program research, development, evaluation, or revision; OR a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in state service; OR a combination of education and experience that meets these requirements.

Special Requirements:
This position necessitates a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of employment.

Examination Process:
The evaluation will consist of an application review. It is crucial that applications provide comprehensive details regarding education and experience. The most qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews, and specific skills testing may be required during the interview process.
