Purpose and Scope:

The Flight Line Operations Supervisor is accountable to the Maintenance Manager for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all assigned personnel. This role oversees the daily flight line operations necessary for the preparation, launch, and recovery of aircraft, while also providing support to the maintenance department as required.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Oversee all Flight Line operations, including the readiness of aircraft for flight, timely launch and recovery, fueling, towing, and the safe use of support equipment, such as self-propelled vehicles.

+ Manage Flight Line personnel to guarantee the safe and punctual completion of tasks, ensuring the availability of airworthy aircraft for scheduled missions.

+ Direct activities of assigned work centers to maintain discipline, optimize personnel utilization, and uphold cleanliness across all shifts.

+ Verify that personnel possess the necessary qualifications for their assigned tasks and enhance their technical knowledge through effective training programs led by supervisors and team leaders.

+ Collaborate with Maintenance Control and Quality Assurance as necessary.

+ Supervise aircraft fueling processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

+ Maintain accurate records and reports as required by maintenance procedures, ensuring timely submission.

+ Communicate any Flight Line or Maintenance issues to Maintenance Control and relevant stations.

+ Ensure the quality of work and proper documentation, making necessary corrections before task completion.

+ Coordinate the provision of essential parts and materials for assigned tasks.

+ Work alongside Maintenance Control to synchronize flight schedules and job assignments.

+ Responsible for the control and security of company assets at the job site.

+ Establish work procedures and schedules.

+ Fairly manage work center leaders and employees, addressing complaints, resolving issues, and recommending disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.

+ Develop and adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards, ensuring all personnel receive appropriate training as per the established program.

+ Engage in and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Directly supervise up to 90 Flight Line personnel.

Perform all other duties related to the position as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent, with five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or Flight Line Supervisor, and ten (10) years of supervisory experience.

+ Prior experience operating aircraft ground support equipment is essential.

+ Must meet government and/or company licensing requirements for the position. Additional qualifications may be required based on contract or assignment.

+ Position may necessitate obtaining and maintaining a US Security Clearance.

+ Must be flexible to work any assigned shift or schedule.

+ Valid driver's license is required.

+ Ability to execute supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and regulations.

+ Competence in planning, assigning, and directing work objectives.

+ Skills to address complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

+ Effective communication skills to present information before groups.

+ Capability to apply common sense and understanding to follow instructions in various formats.

+ Ability to manage problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

+ In-depth knowledge of Flight Line Operations and Maintenance, particularly with assigned or similar aircraft.

+ Familiarity with technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance procedures.

+ Strong organizational skills to plan and execute tasks while adhering to deadlines.

+ Basic mathematical skills are necessary.

+ Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting technical documents and instructions in English.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

This position typically operates in an outdoor environment, subject to varying weather conditions, as well as a standard office setting. Domestic travel may be required as directed.
