About the Position

This position is with the U.S. Special Operations Command (Army), a leading organization in special operations. The job is open to qualified candidates who meet the definition of a "surplus" or "displaced" employee, as well as current or former competitive service federal employees, excepted service federal employees, individuals with disabilities, land & base management employees, military spouses, and veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to the USAJFKSWCS Operations Officer on the planning, development, and execution of USAJFKSWCS operations.
  • Conduct operational assessments and communicate SOF requirements to higher headquarters to aid in operational planning.
  • Manage and utilize the Task Management Tracker (TMT) to coordinate actions and develop policies.
  • Coordinate directly with the USAJFKSWCS staff and USSOCOM's subordinate units to advise on aspects of planning, policy, operations, training, and readiness.
Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
Qualifications
  • One year of specialized experience which includes managing and utilizing the Task Management Tracker (TMT), knowledge of military personnel manpower and equipment distribution, personnel and material management, experience and knowledge with military command relationships and command control procedures.
  • Applicants must meet the qualification requirements using experience alone, with no substitution of education for experience permitted.
