About the Position

This position is with the U.S. Special Operations Command (Army), a premier organization that conducts and supports special operations to protect U.S. interests and deter aggression. As a Training Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in planning, developing, and executing training operations to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of special operations forces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to the Operations Officer on training operations, including planning, development, and execution.
  • Conduct operational assessments and communicate requirements to higher headquarters to inform operational planning.
  • Manage and utilize the Task Management Tracker (TMT) to coordinate training activities and track progress.
  • Coordinate directly with the U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) staff and subordinate units to advise on aspects of planning, policy, operations, training, and readiness.
Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • One year of specialized experience in managing and utilizing the Task Management Tracker (TMT), knowledge of military personnel manpower and equipment distribution, personnel and material management, and experience with military command relationships and command control procedures.
  • Experience in coordinating actions in the proper channels and developing policies that incorporate the principle of command and control.
