Accounting and Financial Analysis Specialist

Job Overview:
As an Accounting and Financial Analysis Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer and the finance team in achieving the company's strategic and operational financial objectives.
This position will primarily assist the CFO and controller while also serving as a valuable resource for the accounting and finance team, as well as the broader Management Team.
Your responsibilities will encompass various financial activities, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, sales analysis, data interpretation, process enhancement, and systems integration.
You will be tasked with aiding management in data analysis and developing reporting tools.Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain internal reports and visualizations to provide insights to management and improve financial performance monitoring.
2. Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial packages for management review.
3. Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and insights.
4. Automate processes and collaborate with teams to optimize ERP software applications.
5. Extract data from Point of Sale systems, analyze findings, and present them in a clear manner.
6. Ensure accurate reporting of royalty and fee revenues.
7. Conduct ad hoc analyses for management as needed.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Strong technological proficiency with a focus on leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and improve processes.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential, including expertise in data retrieval and extraction, as well as proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
- Comfortable with report writing and capable of creating and modifying financial reports as necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to transform data into summary reports for strategic planning.
- Knowledge of standard accounting practices, particularly concerning inventory, payables, prepaids/accruals, and fixed assets.
- Committed to maintaining high productivity levels to meet objectives and metrics.
- Proactive and capable of working independently; a self-starter.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to generate and develop reports from accounting systems for management use.
- Experience in retail and Point of Sale systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including advanced functions and data extraction capabilities.
