Job Summary

The Regional Distribution Manager will serve as the primary operational leader for East Coast Distribution. This role requires a professional, creative, and adaptable leader who excels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will drive a continuous improvement culture within our regional distribution network, actively seeking out and implementing positive changes that improve the customer experience, increase morale, and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee associates performing activities, including unloading and stocking inbound shipments, order picking, packaging, shipping outbound orders, and cycle counting.
  • Accountable for Team KPI's including shipping processing time, inventory accuracy, shrinkage, DOH shipping accuracy and timeliness, receipt processing time, transfer accuracy and timeliness, overtime rates, and overall cost per package shipped.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve distribution capacity.
  • Ensure high cleanliness levels are maintained in our sites through daily 5S.
  • Point person for regional distribution related inquiries and troubleshooting from internal company stakeholders.
  • Accountable for daily cycle count completion and accuracy.
  • Work with Lead to ensure that all functions are scheduled, and team members have appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime, keeping labor metrics in line with sales volume.
  • Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management.
  • Constantly monitor labor and packaging costs to find opportunities for cost savings.
  • Monitor overtime amongst associates to stay within parameters as they align with overall company goals.
  • Utilize technology to automate processes, track inventory movements, and generate real-time reports.
  • Stay updated on advancements in inventory management technology to enhance operations.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address concerns and implement solutions.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing and Purchasing to ensure availability of product scheduled to meet customer demands.
Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management, inclusive of leading 20+ employees in a mid-size distribution/warehouse environment.
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing a team, mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Finance highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with people and build a positive and engaging environment for the team.
  • Phenomenal interactive communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience working in an ERP environment is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Material Handling Equipment Certification.
  • A solid understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations.
