Position Summary:HTF is seeking a driven and results-focused individual to oversee the Richmond office located in British Columbia, Canada. This branch operates as a stocking facility, supported by a dedicated team of four professionals responsible for sales and order fulfillment in the region. The Branch Manager will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, as well as developing business strategies and sales initiatives for Western Canada. This position entails leadership responsibilities and decision-making authority, while benefiting from the support of a seasoned and committed team.
The ideal candidate will possess the capability and enthusiasm to introduce innovative ideas and positive transformations within the team, while supervising and enhancing daily operational and sales activities. Support functions such as IT, purchasing, accounting, and human resources are managed by HTF's corporate headquarters. This role reports to the General Manager of HTF Canada.
Key Responsibilities:Sales and Business Development:- Formulate and execute sales strategies, identifying new opportunities and reinforcing existing relationships in the Western Canada market.
- Collaborate with the Territory Manager to manage customer relationships and expectations effectively.
- Establish and nurture strong connections with key clients to drive sales and ensure satisfaction.
- Align sales strategies and processes with the overarching corporate sales objectives.
- Guide inside sales and order support teams.
- Assist in the planning and execution of local and regional trade exhibitions.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to sales staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Be prepared for local, regional, and overnight travel as required.
- Oversee daily branch operations to guarantee timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing representatives on product offerings and technical inquiries.
- Manage relationships with local carriers and couriers for freight services.
- Work in conjunction with sales and corporate teams based in Ontario and the U.S.
- Conduct executive tasks such as profit and loss reviews, analysis, and budgeting.
- Partner with the corporate IT team to promote the adoption of technology and processes that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Provide leadership and direction through direct management of all branch personnel.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 7-10 years of experience in Operational and Sales Management.
- Recent experience in a distribution environment is essential.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of all products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales-related applications, including CRMs and sales reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
