About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Environmental Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our Environmental Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our operations comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit each division at least once per quarter to review sites, provide guidance, and conduct annual assessment training.
  • Review Erosion & Sediment Control Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) contents, and related records to ensure consistency and compliance with policies of the USEPA and/or USACE.
  • Coordinate with divisions to discuss protected areas, WOTUS and wetland permits, and Threatened & Endangered species.
  • Meet with stormwater site inspection companies and Best Management Practice (BMP) companies as needed to review contract requirements and execution.
  • Review budgets related to erosion control and stormwater management.
  • Attend virtual Environmental Compliance Team (ECT) staff meetings every two weeks and provide updates.
  • Review environmental and NPDES inspections and act as a liaison to regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain full understanding and knowledge of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program requirements and Waters of the United States (WOTUS) regulatory permitting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the development or environmental sector.
  • Proficient in stormwater management, regulatory compliance, NPDES, SWPPP, CPESC, CESSWI, CISEC.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (state, local, federal).
  • Industry certifications CPESC, CESS.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
