Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to divisional teams on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including divisional presidents, regional vice-presidents, and corporate management.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices to ensure our company remains compliant and sustainable.
  • Travel to various locations to conduct site visits, audits, and training sessions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental liabilities and improve our company's sustainability profile.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
  • College degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) or Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ).
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
