We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Services Representative to join our team at Charlestowne Hotels. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities- Register and check-out guests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
- Complete all tasks on the daily checklist, including reviewing arrivals, blocking rooms, and conducting pre-assignment of hotel rooms.
- Follow established key control policy and ensure proper credit policies are followed.
- Issue guest safety deposit boxes and submit lost and found articles with a completed report.
- Assist with Concierge services and provide knowledge of the local area, services, attractions, and events.
- Monitor room availability and review daily selling status using the yield management system.
- Attend department meetings and perform other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to noise and stress. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and reaching, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds.
