Job Summary

BAE Systems USA is seeking a skilled Engineering Tools Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Tools team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for our Software Engineering application environments across the company. Your primary focus will be on troubleshooting performance, availability, and overall health of our tool environments, as well as assisting in planning and upgrading applications using Windows and Linux servers and client environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, deploy, and support of Software Engineering Tools.
  • Administration and operational support of multiple Software Engineering application environments across BAE Systems.
  • Troubleshoot performance, availability, and overall health of tool environments.
  • Assist in planning and upgrading of applications using Windows and Linux servers and client environments.
  • Create and maintain documentation for engineering application client and server installations and upgrades.
  • Support users in a timely manner using ServiceNow Help Desk ticketing system.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong knowledge and working experience of Software Engineering Tool environments, including Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), Subversion, Gitlab, and Collaborator. You should also have good communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to rapidly learn new tools. Additionally, you will need to be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Working experience administering server/client application environments, such as Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), Gitlab, or Coverity, is highly desirable. CompTIA Security + certification or the ability to obtain it is also a plus.
