Job Title: Business Service Manager

Western Indiana Workforce Development Board, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the business expansion and attraction efforts of Lead Economic Development Organizations (LEDOs) throughout Region 7.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement business expansion and attraction strategies.
  2. Collaborate with regional representatives from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to identify and pursue business opportunities.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, employers, and stakeholders to promote economic growth and development.
  4. Provide guidance and support to regional personnel providing business services.
  5. Coordinate customized screening and referral of qualified participants in training services to employers.
  6. Ensure accurate implementation and delivery of federal, state, and local business services initiatives and related grants.
  7. Serve as the regional contact and coordinator of rapid response activities in partnership with state and federal authorities.
  8. Support the sustainability and growth of regional sector partnerships.
  9. Oversee customized recruitment events and related services for employers.
  10. Develop business marketing outreach plans and materials.
  11. Participate in and support business-related organizations throughout the region.
  12. Ensure that the Regional Operator is aware of business services and activities occurring throughout the region.

  • Graduate of a college or university with a degree in an appropriate discipline preferred.
  • Business experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal and state rules and regulations, and WIOA policies and other state workforce development programs or the ability to quickly grasp such rules, regulations, and programs desired.
  • Ability to plan effectively; to communicate orally and in writing; to lead a group of diverse individuals.
