Front Desk Representative

The Front Desk Agent position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of front office accounting records and summarizing daily financial information for the hotel's records. This role also involves tracking room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.
Additionally, the Front Desk Agent is expected to prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day.
Key Responsibilities:- Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts
- Processes guest charges and credit card vouchers
- Posts charges to guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift
- Verifies all account postings and balances
- Verifies room rates and posts them to guest accounts
- Serves as a front desk agent for check-in and check-out procedures
- Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities
- Summarizes results of operations for management
- Checks figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
- Runs end-of-day process in property management software
- Understands principles of auditing, balancing, and losing out accounts
- Responds to guest needs and alerts management as needed
- Sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Ability to remain discreet and respect guest privacy
- Ability to perform consistent work to high standards
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly way
- Knowledge of hospitality operations
