Position Overview

The Educational Programs Instructor is tasked with overseeing various Programs assemblies, which encompass enrichment activities, awards, recognition, branding, partnerships, media engagement, and content creation. This role requires close collaboration with the Programs Associate and Assistant to effectively execute Programs events. The Instructor will report to the Chief Program Officer, Programs Manager, and other key Officers, with performance evaluations conducted by the CPO in conjunction with the Officers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching within a charter or educational setting
  • Proven ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Dynamic teaching approach with strong lesson planning capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required
  • Prior experience in coaching or management is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Assembly Management

  • Design and oversee assemblies for student engagement
  • Collaborate with the program team to develop lesson plans

Enrichment Program Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate enrichment activities
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for events

Rewards Program Responsibilities

  • Assist with National and International Trips
  • Maintain participant rosters for trips
  • Chaperone student trips

Awards Program Responsibilities

  • Order and distribute awards such as medals and trophies
  • Coordinate with managers and deans for awards ceremonies
  • Act as Master of Ceremonies during award events

Rewards Apparel Management

  • Support the Rewards program initiatives
  • Facilitate ceremonies and maintain bulletin boards
  • Distribute rewards apparel to students
  • Organize Achievement Warrior assemblies

Career Exploration Program Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Career assemblies
  • Establish partnerships with external organizations
  • Support the Careers program initiatives
