Position Overview:

The Elementary Education Instructor will develop customized lessons in Humanities, Mathematics, and Science. This position entails guiding and assisting all students within the classroom to achieve their academic goals. The instructor may also collaborate in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) setting alongside a Special Education professional. We are currently seeking educators for various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with grade-level teams
  • Deliver engaging and academically challenging customized instruction
  • Participate in the teacher growth and evaluation process
  • Foster a strong classroom culture and community with all stakeholders
  • Manage classroom behavior and track student progress
  • Attend and actively engage in all professional development and collaborative meetings
  • Utilize data to inform instructional practices
  • Inspire and motivate students
  • Stay informed about current educational practices and methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Elementary Education or a related discipline
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience is strongly preferred
  • New York State teacher certification in Childhood Education (Birth-2, Grades 1-6) is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills that enhance collaboration, along with a commitment to professional development
