Position Summary

As an FAA Certified 145 Repair Station, Hillsboro Aviation addresses extensive maintenance and avionics requirements. We support a range of interests from privately owned aircraft to corporate fleet management, serving private, commercial, and governmental needs. Our full-service facility offers avionics, scheduled and unscheduled services, heavy maintenance, and AOG emergencies. Our factory-trained mechanics and avionics specialists possess an average of over 20 years of experience.

In the role of HondaJet Mechanic, you will collaborate closely with the Service Center team to oversee HondaJet maintenance initiatives and provide support for jet, turboprop, and high-performance piston aircraft. Reporting to the Service Center Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Service Center Manager in fulfilling duties as outlined in Hillsboro Aviation's Repair Station Manual (RSM).
  • Ensuring maintenance quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulations for all customer aircraft.
  • Maintaining aircraft in accordance with the approved inspection program.
  • Guaranteeing airworthiness and availability of assigned customer aircraft.

The ideal candidate will be engaging, energetic, and motivated; capable of working independently within their areas of responsibility with minimal supervision; valuing a strong work ethic and a positive attitude; and possessing a keen eye for detail and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Service Center Manager in executing responsibilities as defined in Hillsboro Aviation's Repair Station Manual (RSM).
  • Ensuring maintenance quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance on all customer aircraft.
  • Maintaining aircraft in accordance with the approved aircraft inspection program.
  • Ensuring airworthiness and availability of assigned customer aircraft.
  • Coordinating maintenance logistics to optimize aircraft availability.
  • Upholding high standards for the shop environment, tools, and records.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Licenses

  • FAA A&P Certificates
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining turboprop and jet aircraft in a general aviation setting
  • 2+ years of experience with HondaJet(s)

Required Skills/Experience

  • Clean record/history with FAA and primary customer base

  • HondaJet factory training
