POSITION TITLE: Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Specialist
OVERVIEW:
The Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Specialist is tasked with performing routine maintenance and installation of semiconductor machinery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preventative Maintenance Technician
- Act as a seasoned technician, working alongside junior technicians to fulfill assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct preventive maintenance setups, including leak assessments and quality evaluations on semiconductor machinery and its components.
- Assist in the reception, staging, and inspection of parts.
- Carry out maintenance on peripheral components, such as leak detection devices and other machinery.
- Collaborate as a member of the preventative maintenance team to execute maintenance tasks with fellow technicians.
- Perform maintenance duties at designated locations within the facility.
- Stay informed on all operational processes and protocols by reviewing relevant documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Remain flexible and ready to undertake both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as required.
- Utilize computer systems for training purposes and to maintain necessary maintenance records.
Installation Technician
- Execute on-site installations of support systems for semiconductor equipment.
- This includes the installation of pumps, chillers, and abatement units, along with associated hardware and electrical components.
- Maintain necessary records and reports as required.
- Coordinate activities with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
- Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company assets and tools.
- Uphold professional standards of conduct to maintain credentials for working on client sites.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Have a foundational understanding of electrical systems and experience using a digital multimeter.
- Exhibit mechanical aptitude and proficiency with relevant tools.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of technical issues related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and procedures.
- Ensure that the work area, equipment, and tools are kept clean and well-maintained.
- Read and comprehend written work instructions and procedures, ensuring that each step is documented as complete upon finishing.
Qualifications:
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- High degree of judgment, initiative, and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with basic hand tools in either a professional or personal context.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk frequently throughout the workday.
- Occasional lifting of items over 20 pounds may be required.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Ability to navigate various indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections.
