Position Summary

As an FAA Certified 145 Repair Station, Hillsboro Aviation addresses a wide range of maintenance and avionics requirements. We support privately owned aircraft and helicopters as well as corporate fleet management, serving various private, commercial, and governmental interests. Our full-service facility offers avionics support, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, heavy repairs, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) emergency services. Our mechanics and avionics technicians are factory-trained and possess an average of over 20 years of experience.

In the role of A&P Mechanic, you will collaborate closely with the Service Center team to provide maintenance support for jets and turboprops. Reporting to the Service Center Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Service Center Manager in fulfilling duties as outlined in Hillsboro Aviation's Repair Station Manual (RSM)
  • Ensuring maintenance quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for all customer aircraft
  • Maintaining aircraft in accordance with the approved inspection program

The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently within their responsibilities with minimal supervision, possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude, maintain meticulous attention to detail and organization, and be enthusiastic about representing Hillsboro Aviation to key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Service Center Manager in executing responsibilities as defined in the Repair Station Manual (RSM)
  • Ensuring maintenance quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for all customer aircraft
  • Maintaining aircraft in accordance with the approved inspection program
  • Ensuring airworthiness and availability of assigned customer aircraft
  • Coordinating maintenance logistics to optimize aircraft availability
  • Upholding high standards for the shop environment, tools, and documentation
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Licenses

  • FAA A&P Certificate
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining turboprop and jet aircraft in a general aviation setting

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • FAA Inspection Authorization
  • Experience with King Air aircraft
  • Experience with HondaJets
  • Experience with Citation aircraft
  • Experience in major repairs and alterations
  • Experience with complex maintenance tasks associated with primary customer aircraft types
  • Factory training in relevant aircraft types
