Position Summary: The Facilities Project Planner is tasked with ensuring the timely and cost-effective achievement of business goals related to project planning and quality standards. Responsibilities include creating schedules, defining scopes of work, issuing work orders, selecting contractors, and managing the repair or replacement of various building infrastructures while allocating the necessary resources and time for project completion.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor project execution in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Assess all critical project deliverables and the final project to ensure requirements traceability, high quality, adherence to budget, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure comprehensive planning and organization of projects, including scope definition and communication plans to contractors and customers to minimize disruption to production operations.
  • Prepare change orders for the original project scope, secure necessary approvals, and communicate modifications to internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Engage in cross-project planning to address conflicts in resources, schedules, and project scopes.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills throughout all project phases.
  • Report on progress, risks, expectations, timelines, and other critical project metrics to both internal and external customers.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • PMP certification is highly preferred.
  • Project Management experience is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in project planning is required, or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in the residential and/or commercial construction industry is preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Experience with Maximo software is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with work order tracking systems is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
