About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team at nfvS53ehbjHRpV. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting community-based initiatives and improving member access to quality dental care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach: Participate in a wide variety of community events and visit organizations to provide oral health education and dental screenings.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with local advocacy and community organizations to better understand local conditions and barriers to care.
  • Provider Education: Educate dental practices about the needs of members in a community, local barriers to care, and local initiatives or events that may be relevant to providers or members.
  • Health Education: Work with providers to integrate health education, wellness, and prevention training into the care of each dental member and assist with outreach initiatives.
  • Information Dissemination: Disseminate targeted information that leads to better clinical and administrative outcomes.
  • Performance Measures: Increase provider awareness of performance measures and assist with member outreach to keep annual dental visits and for preventive or other critical services.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate internally across the enterprise to meet ongoing business and project requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of NY (must be active and unrestricted).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, proven ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously, and ability to travel throughout Long Island and NYC.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare Experience: 3+ years of healthcare experience or state contract-based experience.
  • Dental Terminology: Solid understanding of general dental terminology and ADA codes.
  • Communication Skills: Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, clinical and non-clinical subject matter experts.
