Position Overview: We are currently looking for a Structural Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at LVI Associates. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a group of skilled professionals, engage with clients on innovative projects, and contribute to the growth and development of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams, providing expert guidance on a range of structural engineering initiatives, including the assessment and repair of existing structures, as well as the design and consulting for new projects.
  • Manage projects effectively, including client engagement, defining project scopes, assembling and overseeing project teams, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while meeting client expectations.
  • Contribute to the firm’s goals through mentorship, involvement in research and development activities, and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Oversee the bidding process for projects, both public and private.
  • Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and problem-solving during the construction phase.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations, advising management on necessary actions to maintain adherence to standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven experience in the investigation, design, analysis, and repair of various structural materials, including wood, concrete, steel, and masonry.
  • Possession of a PE or SE license is required.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
