Job Overview

Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. is in search of an experienced Lead Transportation Project Manager to enhance our team of bridge engineering experts. This role is pivotal in overseeing and directing transportation engineering initiatives from the initial concept through to final execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bridge engineering projects across various locations, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Conduct intricate structural analyses and prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for innovative bridge projects.
  • Assemble and lead a proficient project team to navigate complex projects and meet client expectations effectively.
  • Facilitate the design management and review processes, liaising with external agencies for necessary permits.
  • Engage in business development activities, including client presentations and proposal drafting for dynamic bridge projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding submissions, meetings, and feedback to ensure successful project outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with technical staff and sub-consultants to adhere to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage engineering budgets for bridge projects, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering personnel, reviewing their work for quality assurance.
  • Strive for exceptional financial results for Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc.
  • Deliver outstanding client service by addressing needs and resolving concerns promptly.
  • Encourage team collaboration and satisfaction in completing project objectives while working with subconsultants and other disciplines.
  • Assist in resolving personnel conflicts within the team, in collaboration with supervisors.
  • Lead initiatives to pursue new project opportunities and develop technical and financial proposals.
  • Monitor resources to ensure projects are completed in line with contractual obligations, budgetary constraints, and timelines, utilizing management tools effectively.
  • Ensure timely invoicing for services rendered and manage accounts receivable efficiently.
  • Maintain product quality and develop a comprehensive quality management plan with clearly defined roles.
  • Keep the Principal-In-Charge updated on potential claims or contract risks, collaborating on strategies for resolution as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to fellow project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Professional Engineering License in one or more New England states.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering or planning experience, with leadership roles.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, along with a strong grasp of project finances, scheduling, and client relationship management.
