Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Assistant to join our team at the Naval Education and Training Command. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide critical support to our customers, ensuring that their personnel records are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply military personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain accurate personnel service records.
  • Research information in military records and databases to respond to inquiries regarding military human resources issues.
  • Use automated systems to create and maintain accurate military records.
  • Provide direct customer service to customers in a team-focused environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Applying military personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain accurate personnel service records.
  • Researching information in military records and databases to respond to inquiries regarding military human resources issues.
  • Using automated systems to create and maintain accurate military records.
  • Providing direct customer service to customers in a team-focused environment.
