Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Seattle Growth - Highgate Hotels. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Office and Human Resource Department, ensuring seamless daily operations and effective communication with hotel departments and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employment Process Support: Assist with applicant screening, eligibility verification, reference checks, and paperwork accuracy.
  • New Hire Administration: Refer potential new hires to department managers for interviews, maintain new hire logs, and prepare reports.
  • Benefit Administration: Assist with group health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and retirement plan administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate new hire pre-employment steps, respond to applicants, and ensure timely follow-up on guest correspondence and requests.
  • HR Reception Area Duties: Greet associates, managers, and potential new hires, direct them to appropriate managers, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Employee Relations and Events: Assist with employee relations events, maintain associate files, and ensure compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
  • Office and Benefit Supplies: Maintain inventory, complete purchase orders, and keep employee bulletin boards current.
  • Payroll and Reporting: Distribute paychecks, collect signature pages, and ensure timely follow-up on payroll action forms and employee status changes.
  • Special Projects: Assist with other special hotel projects as needed, providing administrative support to the General Manager and hotel.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least one year of hotel or human resource-related work experience.
  • Skills: Effective communication, multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Warm and friendly demeanor, ability to work under pressure, and hospitality-oriented mindset.
What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $65K-$75K plus bonus and benefits, depending on experience.
