Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping tasks
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations across various bank accounts
  • Prepare 1099 and 1098 interest documentation
  • Process bank deposits using desktop devices
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Coordinate with colleagues regarding rent collection
  • Maintain accurate rent roll records
  • Perform general office duties
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files
  • Establish new client files
  • Communicate with clients regarding necessary documentation for loans
  • Record loans in QuickBooks
  • Receive and post rent and interest payments
  • Retrieve property tax and utility records
  • Assist in preparing construction draws for approval and fund disbursement
  • Collaborate with construction inspectors for draw approvals
  • Support coordination of foreclosures with legal representatives
  • Track tax appeals for properties in foreclosure

Qualifications: Proficiency in Excel (Microsoft Office Suite) is required, along with mandatory experience in QuickBooks. A strong mathematical aptitude, familiarity with standard office equipment (such as phones, faxes, copiers, and scanners), a background in accounting, and knowledge of real estate practices are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to meet strict deadlines, are also necessary for this position.
